Sales Contract for Show Potential Quality French Bulldog Puppy

The dog being sold is a (color) (gender) AKC registered French Bulldog puppy, AKC No. (              ), born on (date).

Sire of the dog is (name) AKC No. (             )

Dam of the dog is (name) AKC No. (             ).

The dog is sold as “show potential,” and the purchase value of this puppy is $______________  

The seller has microchipped                 with ________ microchip number          , which will enable her to be traced back to owner if she is ever lost or stolen.

Owner is encouraged to take                     to her own veterinarian for a “well puppy check up” within one week of purchase.  Puppy has had all vaccinations appropriate for her age and as required by Florida Statute.

Owner is strongly recommended to avoid FT. DODGE PHARMACEUTICALS.

Puppy’s health record is included in the puppy pack and reflects all vaccinations puppy has had to date, as well as cautionary warnings regarding vaccinations and alternatives to excessive vaccinations.

The seller, Carol Sciannameo, warrants puppy to be free of serious life-threatening genetic defects for a period of two years.  Covered genetic defects that are considered to seriously threaten life, or quality of life of the dog, are:

·        Heart

·        Lungs

·        Kidneys

·        Liver

·        Dysplastic Hips

·        Vertebra

·        Digestive Tract Problems

Seller is not responsible for mange, tick fever, ticks, fleas, valley fever or any contractible disease, nor for injuries inflicted on the puppy after she is out of the custody of the seller.

Seller will not replace or refund for problems resulting from poor care, feeding or mismanagement of the puppy.

Seller will not pay for diagnostic or veterinarian costs for treating the puppy.

Seller will replace the dog at seller’s earliest convenience (available litter) and discretion for a covered cause as listed above.

By signing this contract, the buyer acknowledges that French bulldogs are prone to malformed vertebrae and accepts that no replacement or refund will be made unless this is life threatening or crippling.

For the life of the dog, if the owner for a reason of impairment, relocation, or other considered hardship, can no longer keep and/or care for the dog, she can return her to the breeder.

If the contract is breached, buyer agrees to pay the sum of $10,000 to the seller.  The sale of the puppy is concluded within and governed by the laws of the State of Florida .

Any litigation resulting from the sale of the dog must be conducted in the courts of law within Pinellas County , Florida .

The French bulldog puppy may not be abandoned, sold or given away, including but not limited to, estate executors without the seller’s written consent.  Legal fees will be paid by the buyer if it becomes necessary to go to court to enforce the contract.

This is a legal and binding contract.
