Darla - Memorial to a beautiful bull dog |
|
On
June 29th, 2007,
"Our Gang's Darla" crossed the rainbow bridge. I was
with her, as was Dr. K and Aunt Olga. Darla's health had been failing, and she could no longer hear or see very well. In the past few days, she began drinking tons of water, was having difficulty breathing, and was losing strength and mental faculties. She would not even respond to her favorite word "biscuit." She had trouble standing and was not herself. Darla is the mother of 18 bulldog puppies, youngest of whom would be seven years of age. Margie, went over the bridge before the "mamma dog" as we fondly called Darla on March 4 of this year and was from her last litter. Beatrice passed away three years
ago tomorrow, June 30. (Note: the above text was not
meant to be on a web page, but rather, a sad and heart-felt letter from
a wonderful person who just lost a family member to doggie
Heaven). - Webmaster
